PNHP has long been engaged in the U.S. health reform debate. Since our proposal for single-payer national health insurance appeared in the Journal of the American Medical Association (08/13/03), our membership has grown to more than 17,000 American physicians, including many of the most respected members of our profession. We invite you to add your signature to the Open Letter from physicians and medical students. It urges senators to defeat the bill now before them, and immediately start over on health reform.
Beginning in November 2006, PNHP launched a national campaign to seek endorsements for the Conyers/Kucinich US National Health Insurance Act (HR 676). Activists are encouraged to seek endorsement resolutions from all sectors of society.
